We are hiring a Junior Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in or corporate office in Melrose Park, IL for a training period of approximately 6 to 8 months, with the intent of then transitioning into your Outside Sales career in the Tampa, FL market! This position will be responsible for learning all of our storage rack products by providing quotes to customers, collaborating with the Sales Department, familiarizing with our engineering and shipping processes, and eventually becoming an outside sales representative. Responsibilities: • Spend 6 to 8 months working in Melrose Park, IL headquarters for extensive technical, product, processes, and sales training. • Prepare quotations and installation drawings for storage rack projects. • Perform structural analysis and design to meet customer specifications and a variety of codes. • Create bills of material for proposals and orders • Interact extensively with sales personnel and project managers in the beginning and eventually interact with customers, dealers, and distributors later in the training period. Go on ride-alongs with existing sales personnel to shadow and control responsibilities. • Work in the company’s CRM to evaluate and assist on leads, follow up on leads and quotes assigned to existing sales personnel, and review customer information to provide continuous improvement ideas to the Director of Sales. • Assist with maintaining existing customer accounts as required. • Travel in furtherance of responsibilities.
