Job Summary: The Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations will be Inter-Con’s brand architect and chief storyteller — building a unified narrative that captures who we are, what we do, and why we matter. This is a newly created position, designed to establish a formal marketing and PR function for the company. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, this leader will balance creative vision with strategic execution — shaping Inter-Con’s brand identity, leading public communications, and enhancing visibility across digital, media, and industry channels. Using Data-Driven Decision-Making, leveraging market research, industry insights, and analytics to guide strategy, measure impact, and optimize results. Duties/Responsibilities: • Shape and lead Inter-Con’s global brand strategy and positioning to strengthen market perception and engagement. Elevate digital presence through the creation and revitalization of compelling content across all online platforms. • Lead integrated marketing programs designed to generate qualified leads and drive new opportunities into the sales funnel. Partner with Business Development and executive management to build a strong pipeline, increase proposal activity, and deliver impactful capability presentations to prospective clients. • Drive a data-informed digital marketing strategy encompassing SEO/SEM, social media, email campaigns, and marketing automation. Partner with Business Development leadership to amplify reach, generate demand, and strengthen engagement across target markets. • Cultivate relationships with PR and creative agencies, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints. Manage media relations, press releases, and crisis communications. • Represent Inter-Con at trade shows, conferences, and media appearances. • Establish KPIs and performance tracking to measure engagement and ROI. • Inspire, mentor, and grow a creative team that supports Inter-Con’s mission and brand voice. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations required; advanced degree preferred. · Proven experience, 10+ years of progressive marketing/PR experience, including brand management and media engagement. · Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team. · Outstanding writing, editing, and presentation skills (portfolio required). · Experience representing organizations publicly or managing PR initiatives. · Experience in the security, defense, or services sector preferred but not required. · Must be outgoing, articulate, and confident in public settings. · Travel required for select conferences, media events, and leadership meetings.
