Reports to: Wendy Votroubek, CEO Location: Remote (US based only. Pacific Time Zone availability preferred) Type: 4 Days a Week (8AM-5PM, PT), Occasional Trade Show Weekends Please, no recruiters or agencies. About the Role We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations, team development, and strategic growth of our legal nurse consulting business. This role blends healthcare expertise, legal nurse consulting knowledge, operational leadership, and business management skills. The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse with strong management and communication skills, proven operational oversight, and the ability to guide a distributed team. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centered environment and can uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Operational Management • Oversee daily business operations, including responding to emails and phone inquiries. • Assign new cases to nurses based on expertise and availability. • Review all deliverables for quality before client submission. • Manage case funding processes and communications with clients (Virtual Assistants and attorneys). • Track workflow and efficiency using , SiftMed, Hightail, Dropbox, MS Suite, and Google Platform. Business Administration • Develop strategies to increase profitability and diversify the client base. • Manage budgets, review QuickBooks invoices, and ensure accurate financial tracking. • Uphold HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and industry regulations. Team Leadership • Recruit, train, and support nurses and staff. • Coordinate with mentors for onboarding and development. • Provide professional growth guidance. • Stay current on healthcare regulations and consulting best practices. Marketing & Growth • Collaborate on marketing campaigns and strategic growth initiatives. • Represent the company at healthcare and legal events. • Supervise digital marketing efforts and website content updates. Risk Management & Compliance • Ensure all reports meet legal and ethical standards. • Develop, monitor, and enforce internal compliance and quality control protocols. Required Qualifications • Registered Nurse (RN) with extensive clinical background. • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience (case management or leadership preferred). • Minimum 2 years of management experience in operations or team supervision. • Legal Nurse Consulting experience strongly preferred. If not, must complete AALNC’s Getting Started course or other agreed upon/approved Legal Nurse training course within 90 days of hire. • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills (written, verbal, telephonic). • Proficiency with financial tools, workflow systems, and client communications. Preferred Qualifications • Remote team management experience. • Familiarity with expert witness processes and legal case reviews. • Advanced degree (e.g., MSN, MBA). • Past entrepreneurial or teaching experience. • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and manage conflict with professionalism. • Experience using or applying AI platforms in a healthcare/legal setting.
