This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and cloud-native services using AWS technologies-including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, ECS, and RDS-with an emphasis on Java and Spring Boot microservice development. The position also supports and enhances PayRecon, our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) application hosted in AWS ECS, ensuring continued reliability, performance, and modernization. The Senior Developer will lead efforts to improve system integrations, refactor legacy components, strengthen observability, and introduce best practices for error handling and insight generation. This role plays a central part in our modernization and AI-driven automation roadmap, accelerating interoperability and operational efficiency across business domains. The position is open to hybrid or fully remote candidates depending on experience and fit. What will you need to succeed: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical discipline. • 10+ years of experience in full-stack development with either Python, .Net or Java, including REST API design, microservices, and backend integrations. • Proficiency in AWS cloud services including Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS, and S3, with strong understanding of cloud-native application design and deployment. • Experience developing and maintaining event-driven and message-based architectures using SQS/SNS or similar messaging systems. • Skilled in SQL and relational database design, including stored procedures, query optimization, and schema tuning (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL). • Strong front-end development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) and TypeScript. • Experience building and maintaining enterprise integrations and middleware layers connecting internal and external systems via REST, SOAP, or file-based APIs. • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation or Terraform). • Strong background in application logging, error handling, and observability, including the use of CloudWatch, X-Ray, and structured logging frameworks. • Working knowledge of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, HTTPS).
