Overview Data Science Developer, Journeyman Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (Hybrid) Clearance: Public Trust (Level 4; High-Risk) Integral Federal is looking to hire a Senior Data Science Developer to support the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Performance Engineering Analytics (PEA) program. The PEA program will support TSA as they continue to look for ways to enhance its layered approach to security through new state-of-the-art technologies, expanded use of existing and proven technologies, improved passenger identification techniques, and other developments that will continue to strengthen anti-terrorism capabilities. Responsibilities · Develop software, tools, and data products in both cloud (AWS) and on-premises data science and data analytics environment using a variety of programming languages such as Python, R, Java, and SQL · Design and implement solutions to complex, large dataset problems using modern, leading practices and innovative techniques · Develop and integrate data science applications, products and reporting solutions with the TSA systems, platforms and frameworks · Design, develop, test and implement software using leading practices · Produce documentation in support of technical specifications, test plans and software-related work products · Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business and stakeholder challenges and problems · Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and/or reports as requested Qualifications Required: · 5+ years of relevant experience · Currently or recently working as junior or mid-level developer in similar environments and with the tools (or similar tools) listed below · On-premises and/or Cloud data science and data analytics environments o Python and R in a data science toolkit or data analytics environment o AWS Cloud products o Microsoft Power BI Report server or similar business intelligence tool · Experience with data visualizations, reporting systems and Dashboards · Experience with performance troubleshooting of Python and R code · Experience with complex SQL and large data sets · Ability to learn new languages and technologies and solid troubleshooting aptitude · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Strong analytical, problem-solving skills · Resourcefulness and attention to detail Preferred: · Experience working in TSA mission or DHS environments · Experience working in data science and data analytics environments · Experience working as part of a software development team in an Agile environment · Software development in an AWS Cloud environment · Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts, tools and technologies Company Overview Integral partners with federal defense, intelligence, and civilian leaders to tackle their most important challenges and deliver positive outcomes.
