Position Overview: The Director of Warehousing is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations across the organization, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective storage and distribution of materials and finished goods. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for warehousing activities, aligns operations with business goals, and drives continuous improvement in safety, service, and productivity. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping • Develop and implement warehouse strategies, policies, and standard operating procedures to support operational and business objectives • Ensure accurate inventory management, cycle counting, and compliance with inventory control standards • Partner with supply chain, logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service teams to support end-to-end operations • Establish and monitor KPIs related to safety, productivity, accuracy, cost, and service levels • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, automation, and layout efficiency • Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety regulations, and company policies; promote a strong safety culture • Manage warehouse budgets, labor planning, and capital investments • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse leadership and hourly teams • Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) providers and vendor relationships, as applicable Qualifications: Professional Qualifications • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution best practices • Proven ability to lead large, multi-site teams and manage complex operations • Experience implementing process improvements and performance management systems • Strong financial and budgeting acumen • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Work Experience • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in warehousing, distribution, or logistics • 5+ years of leadership experience managing warehouse operations or distribution centers • Experience in multi-site or high-volume environments preferred Education • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field required • Master’s degree preferred Additional Notes: This is a full-time position with hours dictated by business needs.
