Position Overview: The Senior Manager, Upstream Market Access Strategy, is a key member of the Market Access Strategy leadership team and will report to the Director, Market Access Strategy. The individual is responsible for developing comprehensive strategies around product access, pricing, and channel for innovations and new products in development at Insulet and potential external products/services considered through corporate development. This includes awareness and keen fluency in technology and service innovations occurring within our space. This individual will work closely with Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Corporate Development, Chief Technology Officer, Government Affairs, Field Managed Care, Customer Care, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Compliance. This individual enjoys working in a growing, collaborative, fast-paced organization focused on transforming healthcare. The individual must have the ability to balance multiple projects and tasks along with operating efficiently and quickly to meet the demands of our agile marketing environment. Success in this role will be measured by performing these duties, as well as ensuring the organization is meeting/exceeding organizational access, pricing, new start and revenue targets. We're looking for: Responsibilities • Champion the Omnipod 5 Market Access launch plan and direct marketing mix execution to achieve Market Access launch goals. • Liaison with Omnipod 5 brand team. Supports upstream business development, field market access, sales and marketing initiatives to drive commercial and next generation product development strategies that increase new patient starts and improve pull through. • Support National Account Managers (NAM’s) with marketing collateral (I.e. PVP, Business Review Decks, ad hoc payor engagement initiatives) and provide strategic direction. • Coordinate and lead market research necessary for pricing and access planning for current and new products. • Provide access and pricing strategic input into R&D and corporate development direction. • As necessary, supports Director of Pharmacy Operations by providing leadership, alliance management, business analysis, issue resolution, and process improvement • Develop strategies to optimize Insulet’s channel utilization and mix. Drive strategic plan to optimize channel mix to include improving customer intake experience, reducing processing time for new patients, and enhance patient retention. • Monitors, data mines and analyzes market access landscape, trends, and develops payer research to create actionable insights that drive market access strategies and ensure Insulet’s ability to secure and maintain broad access. • Supports the Manager of Health Economics with the development of value-based contracting and alternate payment models, and the Director of Market Access Strategy with global marketing programs. • Lead efforts with the planning, budget management, vetting and implementation of vendors designed to optimize channel performance (I.e. marketing agency). • As necessary, serves as an internal management / strategy consultant to develop internal and external strategies and drive successful deployment and execution of these initiatives. • Perform other duties as required Education and Experience: Minimum Requirements • BA / BS in life sciences, business administration, marketing, economics, or related field • Track record of excellence and a minimum of 10+ yrs. in healthcare, sales, management, consulting, commercial/marketing, and/or operations function • Exceptional leadership, communication, execution experience and abilities • Highly motivated, collaborative, analytical and independent with a strategic mindset and a “can do” attitude. Preferred Skills and Competencies • Diabetes therapeutic knowledge, operations, and medical device manufacturing experience is a plus • MBA preferred and/or Management consulting experience preferred • Managed Care, Strategy, and Institutional insights Physical Requirements Business travel as required to meet business needs NOTE: This position is eligible for remote working arrangements (may work from home/virtually; may also work hybrid on-site/virtual as desired). #LI-Remote Additional Information: Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $165,500.00 - $248,300.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
