Role Overview: As a Network Engineer at INSPYR Solutions, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing secure network infrastructures. Your expertise in firewall management and network security will ensure the protection and efficiency of our clients' systems. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely with a dynamic team on challenging projects that enhance network performance and security. What You'll Do: - You will manage and configure Palo Alto firewalls to maintain robust network security. - You will convert layer 4 firewall rules to layer 7 using userID and appID for enhanced application control. - You will monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions. - You will conduct security assessments and recommend improvements to safeguard network assets. - You will document network configurations, changes, and procedures for compliance and knowledge sharing. - You will stay updated on the latest network security trends and technologies to apply best practices. - You will support incident response efforts and assist in resolving network security incidents. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Palo Alto firewalls in a professional environment. - Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall rule sets, and security principles. - Proficiency in converting layer 4 rules to layer 7 using userID and appID. - Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Authorization to work in the US (USC, Green Card, or equivalent). Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE). - Experience with other firewall platforms and network security technologies. - Knowledge of cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure). - Strong communication skills and experience working in remote teams.
