Full Description

Bilingual Medical Coordinator (Inspire GA) The Inspire Georgia provides temporary shelter care and case management services to unaccompanied children in the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) custody. The Medical Coordinator has primary responsibility to provide administrative office and case support through scheduling medical appointments and establishing collaborative relationships with health care facilities and other medical providers for the assigned program. The Medical Coordinator will assist in maintaining all partner agreements, making referrals, submitting TARs, and ensuring timely management of medication services. Position Details: • Full Time employee, eligible for benefits • Department - Children and Family Services • Ensures ongoing compliance with state licensing regulation, ADA, and all regulatory requirements and reports unsanitary or unsafe conditions. • Meets regularly with program staff to coordinate activities, address issues, resolve problems, and review program goals and objectives. • Reports to Lead Medical Coordinator • Located in Atlanta, GA • On-Site • Monday through Friday; 8:30AM - 5:00PM • Annual Compensation is $60,000/annual Responsibilities: • Coordinate with program staff to ensure medical needs of youth in program are documented and responded to in a timely manner. • Maintain accurate records of all medical services needed for each youth in program, scheduling appointments within specified timeframes as required by agency procedure, licensing guidelines and ORR policy. • Communicate appointments with program staff to ensure youth are transported as scheduled. • Ensure medication services for youth are communicated appropriately to program staff and all needed medication has been ordered and received by the program. • Keep a current record of all medical service providers, including health care facilities, primary care doctors, dentists, and optometrists, approved for providing services to clients in program. • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with medical service providers, case managers, partner agency representatives and program staff on behalf of the agency. • Maintain accurate medical service records in each client file as assigned, submitting all documentation and reports completely and on time, ensuring documentation is in full compliance with agency, licensing, accreditation, and ORR contract guidelines. • Attend meetings as requested and assigned. • Keep abreast of current policies and procedures. • Ensures training requirements and needs are met. • Ensure ongoing compliance with state licensing regulations, ADA, ORR and all other regulatory requirements and report unsanitary or unsafe conditions. • Collaborate with other team members to meet agency's Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI)/Quality Assurance (QA) requirements. • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Qualifications: • Minimum of 1 year of employment in public health or a healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care. • Must possess one of the following: Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) or higher health-related qualification (e.g. Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a bachelor's degree or bachelor's degree in a relevant field). • Must have supervisory experience. • Licensed to provide clinical services in the Georgia. • Bilingual in Spanish and English. • Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Extended Reach, electronic databases. • Must have the ability to communicate in a culturally competent manner. • Must be sensitive to the served population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. • Ability to work within a team and to work independently. • Ability to take the initiative. • On-call required. • Must have a personal vehicle, a valid Georgia Driver's license and have personal auto insurance and a good driving record.
