Assist prospective medical students with application processes, provide guidance on school selection, and support project planning.
Must be a current resident or graduate of a US medical school with admissions committee experience and strong communication skills.
Job Description: • Work with prospective medical school candidates, helping them identify opportunities to build their profile and draft compelling application documents • Manage relationships with applicants and families while providing strategic and tactical guidance on school selection, essays, resumes, recommendations, interviews, and the overall admissions process • Identify optimal medical programs and schools for individual students; provide feedback and guidance to students regarding their research on university programs and relevant resources, finding alignment with the student's background and goals • Support students with project planning, help them create and stick to effective timelines through Excel-based trackers • Stay up-to-date on the medical school admissions process and programs to advise prospective and existing clients on appropriate school selection and the nuances of applying to medical school Requirements: • Currently in your Residency Program (MD or DO) • Graduated from a US Medical School • Previous experience on an Admissions Committee with experience reviewing applications and making acceptance/rejection decisions within a Medical School or program • A passion for coaching • Planning and organizational skills • Strong English reading, writing, and editing skills • Strong verbal communication skills • Expertise in project management • Experience in education, coaching, tutoring, and mentoring Benefits: • 100% coverage of health, vision, and dental benefits • Flexible Paid-time Off • Learning and Development Budget • Retirement Savings Plans - 401k with matching • Diversity and inclusion programs that promote employee resource groups like OWN (Outreach Women's Network), AAPI, Rainbow (LGBTQIA+), Gender+, LatinX, Black Excellence, Disability Community, and Veterans • Note: certain benefits are not provided to 1099 contract worker
