The UX Content Designer will create user-centered content for Inspira’s digital products and support research activities to validate and optimize content. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness in the client experience.
Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in UX writing or related roles and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Familiarity with usability testing methods and experience with digital product content is preferred.
The UX Content Designer will report to the Digital Design Manager within the Retirement & Wealth (R&W) Product Design team. This role is responsible for creating clear, user-centered content that improves how clients navigate and interact with Inspira’s digital products. In addition to writing, this role will support research activities using no-code tools to help validate and optimize content and design flows. The UX Content Designer will collaborate closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and UX Researchers. They will contribute to Inspira’s content guidelines and design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and effectiveness across the client experience. This is a mid-level position, designed for a practitioner who is growing their expertise in both content design and research, without the added expectations of senior-level strategy or mentorship. Duties & Responsibilities * User-Centered Writing: Create clear, concise, and accessible content for product experiences across Inspira’s digital platforms (web, mobile, responsive). Deliver copy for flows such as onboarding, account claiming, investing, tooltips, error messaging, and contextual help. * Content Consistency & Governance: Ensure content follows Inspira’s voice, tone, and accessibility standards. Contribute to and help maintain content documentation, guidelines, and reusable content patterns within the design system. * Research Support: Use no-code tools (such as Chameleon, FullStory, and survey platforms) to help design and launch content-focused usability tests, comprehension studies, and A/B experiments. * Documentation & Synthesis: Draft discussion guides, test scripts, and survey questions. Capture user feedback and synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product and design teams. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Researchers to embed content early in design discussions and ensure research findings inform design outcomes. * Iterative Improvement: Continuously refine product content based on user testing, analytics, and stakeholder feedback, with a focus on clarity, comprehension, and decision-making support. * Content System Contribution: Assist in expanding Inspira’s design system by documenting best practices for UI text, error states, and other reusable components. Qualifications Education & Experience * 2–4 years of experience in UX writing, content design, or related product content roles. * Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Human-Centered Design, or equivalent experience. * Helpful (not required): coursework or certification in UX Writing, UX Research, or Technical Writing. * Familiarity with usability testing and user research methods; experience setting up or assisting with no-code testing tools. * Experience writing content for digital products across web and mobile platforms. * Comfort working in design and collaboration tools (Figma, Miro, or similar). Skills & Abilities * Ability to craft clear, concise, and user-centered content across digital interfaces. * Strong collaboration skills; able to partner effectively with designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers. * Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency, accessibility, and usability. * Capable of drafting lightweight research materials (test scripts, guides, surveys) and documenting findings. * Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting content and research insights to cross-functional teams. * Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
