Full Description

Job Description: • Support the Head of Business Development and other BD team members on diligence and transaction processes on technical due diligence and business case development • Lead the evaluation of scientific and data-driven analyses and prepare written/oral summaries and presentations • Proactively identify and evaluate external growth opportunities for inbound partnering/acquisition in new Immunology and Inflammation therapeutic areas • Continuously scout, monitor, and evaluate new technologies that may be of strategic interest to Insmed • Build internal and external networks to proactively identify and assess new technologies and programs in the Immunology and Inflammation therapeutic area • Participate, as needed, in evaluating early venture-like opportunities • Support and conduct strategic, market, and competitive analyses of business development opportunities • Maintain databases of opportunities and historical records of previous evaluations • Establish external and internal networks to support market intelligence and identification of relevant business transformation opportunities for growth • Attend external partnering and scientific conferences and meetings Requirements: • PhD in Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or a related discipline • 3+ years' experience within the biotech/pharmaceutical arena • Strong knowledge of disease areas, drug development, activities and commercial processes • Solid understanding of product development and regulatory requirements for early, mid, and late stages assets • Enhanced scientific acumen, understanding of R&D/clinical data, and project management skills • Experience performing scientific evaluation and diligence in support of M&A and licensing activities • Basic understanding of financial analyses and willingness to learn advanced modeling • Experience working in a matrixed team environment • Experience in presenting recommendations and influencing internal and external groups Benefits: • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage and mental health support • Annual wellbeing reimbursement, and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Generous paid time off policies, fertility and family-forming benefits, caregiver support, and flexible work schedules with purposeful in-person collaboration • 401(k) plan with a competitive company match, annual equity awards, and participation in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and company-paid life and disability insurance • Company Learning Institute providing access to LinkedIn Learning, skill building workshops, leadership programs, mentorship connections, and networking opportunities • Employee resource groups, service and recognition programs, and meaningful opportunities to connect, volunteer, and give back
