This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in public sector purchasing, construction services, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the Construction and Facilities Procurement Section, optimizing staff and resources within budget. • Plan and schedule procurement for architectural, engineering, construction services, and MRO goods. • Oversee publicly advertised bids, including RFP/RFQ development, publication, and evaluation. • Facilitate procurement-related meetings such as bid conferences, site inspections, and oral presentations. • Ensure timely issuance of award notices, contracts, and purchase orders. • Supervise contract amendments and change orders. • Collaborate with project managers and administrators to track construction project progress. • Maintain compliance with State of New Jersey and institutional procurement standards. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business); candidates without a degree may substitute equivalent experience. • Minimum 5 years of progressive purchasing experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role. • Strong preference for experience in purchasing design and construction services. • Experience in government or hospital procurement settings is highly desirable. • Familiarity with public bidding statutes and contract administration is a plus. • Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
