Position: Project Financial Analyst Duration: 6-month contract + extensions and possible conversion (long-term) Location: Deerfield, IL (onsite 4 days per week, M-Th) Pay Rate: $40-45/hr Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field • Experience supporting the financial efforts for projects (cost distribution and variance analysis) • Financial analyst background (variance, forecasts, cost and budget analysis, reporting) • Experience identifying operational issues such as project over-spend or contract non-compliance, recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems. • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (large data sets) • Excellent verbal & written communication Description: A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Financial Project Analyst to join its Finance team, specifically supporting the Retail Property Management division. This team plays a critical role in overseeing financial aspects of store remodels and new location development. The Financial Project Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis across all cost categories, gaining a comprehensive understanding of expenditures related to new store construction and ongoing maintenance. This includes performing detailed evaluations of existing store costs to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. The team comprises Project Analysts, Data Analysts, and Coordinators, and is focused on budget estimation and financial oversight for retail operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to financial planning within a dynamic retail environment. Responsibilities: • Performs complex financial analysis and budget analysis of activities pertaining to the Facilities space. Reviews and reconciles discrepancies impacting division capital budgets and provides status and recommendations for effective program budget management. • Oversees program cost and the completion of program management. • Monitors program spend against budget for materials, services and all expenses and performs analysis of project life from inception to full completion. • Perform as an Ariba expert and be able to run data downloads, assist users with inquiries and liaise with Group Procurement operations team. • Determines cash flow requirements based on project scope, duration, completion, and established pay guidelines and liaise with our Finance partner. • Partners with project director and manager and is a dedicated resource from Pre-Execution to Closeout of programs and projects. • Monitors purchase order status for programs/projects; tracks payables by vendor and by aging on a program basis. • Maintains complete and accurate documentation for projects and programs and steps in to reconcile discrepancies. • Assists project directors with upload files and project coding, ensuring integrity of data and proper classification of capital vs. expense. • Prepares presentations, presents project information to execution and project management teams. • Formatting data that comes from ARIBA (PO system).
