Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Controls Specialist to support capital infrastructure projects, specifically focused on substation and transmission line development. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive project controls support including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting to ensure successful project execution within scope, budget, and timeline. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. Monitor and analyze project costs, budgets, and forecasts; identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables. Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to stakeholders. Support risk management and change control processes. Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Assist in the development of capital expenditure plans and long-term investment strategies. Track and manage procurement schedules, contractor performance, and resource allocation. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field 8+ years of experience in project controls supporting utility or energy infrastructure projects, preferably in substations and transmission lines Strong understanding of project lifecycle, cost engineering principles, and scheduling methodologies Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in, MS Project, and Excel; experience with cost control software (e.g., SAP, EcoSys) PMP or CCP certification Experience with regulatory filings and utility capital planning processes Familiarity with transmission and substation design and construction practices
