Lead natural resources projects including NEPA compliance, environmental assessments, wetlands delineations, endangered species evaluations, and technical reporting while managing budgets, schedules, and mentoring staff.
8+ years environmental project management experience with strong wetland delineation and NEPA compliance expertise, USACE permitting knowledge, client-facing skills, and ability to manage projects independently.
Must Haves: • Strong background in wetland delineations and field experience • 8+ years experience in environmental project management • NEPA compliance expertise • Experience with USACE permitting (Nationwide and Standard permits) • Familiarity with TxDOT projects • Completion of wetland delineation training (preferred) • Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish • Solid field background to support technical work • Prior client-facing experience and effective stakeholder communication • Comfort with business development and client relationship building Day to Day: The Senior Project Manager will lead natural resources projects including NEPA compliance, environmental assessments, wetlands delineations, endangered species evaluations, and technical reporting. This role blends technical expertise with leadership and project management. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring timely delivery, and contributing to business development efforts. The position will work closely with another senior team member and oversee approximately two direct reports within a team of five Environmental Scientists. Travel & Location: • Travel: 20–30% initially for training and team alignment • Location preference: Houston, due to concentration of wetland work
