The Field Medical Records Technician (MRT) supports health plans and third‑party vendors by traveling to provider offices to collect, review, and process medical records for quality, compliance, and risk‑adjustment initiatives. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while representing the organization in clinical environments. Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience in medical records, health information management, or clinical office workflows. • Working knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology. • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel extensively. • Proficiency with laptops, scanners, and EHR navigation. Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience with HEDIS, risk adjustment, or chart retrieval projects. • Certification in Health Information Technology or related field. • Familiarity with common EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts, etc.).
