Title: Engineering Project Manager Duration: 3-month contract – potential to extend up to 2 years • Estimate of 40-55hr a week (OT - yes) Pay Rate: $50-62 max- potentially higher depending on experience Interview: 1 round virtual interview Location: Must be local to New York or New Jersey - 75 % travel from here Must Haves: • 4+ years experience within project management • 4+ years engineering experience - specific to controls, industrial or electrical • Experience managing a high volume of projects with quick turn around • Cross functional collaboration skills to effectively drive progress • Technology adept - the ability to quickly learn new technology • Adaptable to change and innovation Plusses: • PMP • Experience with conveyor systems Day to Day: A client of Insight Global in the retail/technology industry is seeking Project Managers to assist with an initiative to update, upgrade & improve their facilities across the country. This will include general building updates as well as the upgrading of manual systems in warehouses & delivery centers, to automated systems. The goal is to improve operational efficiency within the locations make processes faster, safer and more efficient. We are looking for hands on TECHNICAL ENGINEERING project managers who aren't afraid to get super involved and go onsite. This person will be in the field 75% of the time, executing on projects. This person is responsible for carrying out delivery & execution, for mostly, preplanned projects and will need a high level of urgency and attention to detail to ensure timely & accurate delivery. The ideal candidate, has an engineering background within automation, controls, industrial or electrical work and has managed projects similar in nature. The average schedule will include travel Monday - Friday; occasional weekends - if required you may need to stay to oversee the resolution of an issue. All expenses are reimbursable.
