Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Onsite in Houston 5 days a week The Director of Data Visualizations & Insights leads the design, development, and governance of enterprise dashboards and reporting products used by district leadership, campuses, and operational teams. This role oversees a team of senior engineers and engineers responsible for transforming complex datasets into actionable visual insights using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI. The Director ensures that reports and dashboards are accurate, intuitive, and aligned to key strategic goals. Lead strategy and execution for all district dashboards and enterprise reports. Supervise a team of engineers and analysts developing Power BI solutions across departments. Partner with academic, operational, and executive leaders to define reporting priorities and KPIs. Implement design standards, refresh schedules, and version control for all visual products. Ensure high-quality, FERPA-compliant visualizations that meet user needs and support decision-making. Collaborate with data governance and architecture teams to define source-of-truth datasets. Manage dashboard lifecycle processes including intake, testing, publishing, and retirement. Promote self-service BI adoption through shared datasets and training. Monitor performance, user adoption, and feedback to drive continuous improvement. At least 2 years managing reporting teams or large-scale dashboarding initiatives. Minimum of 6 years in business intelligence or data analytics. Bachelors degree in information systems, analytics, or related field required.
