Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) – End-of-Life Migration Job Type: Contract Location: Remote Job Description We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help migrate an end-of-life third-party application to a modern, internally built solution. The role is front-end heavy and requires strong experience with React, Java, and Drools, along with backend and AI-assisted development experience. Responsibilities • Design and develop features for the new internal application. • Build scalable and user-friendly React applications. • Develop backend services using Java, Node.js, and Python. • Work with Drools/business rules and workflow logic. • Collaborate with QA/SDET teams on acceptance criteria and automation testing. • Support basic DevOps activities, scheduled jobs, service accounts, and data flows. • Use AI tools effectively for coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, and code reviews. • Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and drive delivery. Required Skills • Strong Senior Full Stack Development experience. • Strong hands-on React experience. • Strong Java development experience. • Experience with Drools / BRMS / Business Rules. • Experience with Node.js and/or Python web services. • Good understanding of SQL and relational databases. • Basic DevOps knowledge. • Experience using AI-assisted development tools. • Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills • Hadoop ecosystem experience. • Legacy application modernization/migration experience. • Experience with mentoring and code quality initiatives. Key Assessment Areas • Java • React • Drools — equally weighted with Java and React • Hadoop — approximately 10–15% • AI/AI-assisted development experience will also be evaluated during the interview.
