The Human Resources & Compliance Analyst collects, manages, and analyzes data to support decision-making within the HR department and corporate compliance program. Responsibilities include confirming adherence to employment laws, developing compliance policies, and conducting audits.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, business, or human resource management, along with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Knowledge of employment laws and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, are required.

Full Description

The Human Resources & Compliance Analyst position collects, manages, and analyzes data to create processes and aide in decision making within the HR department and corporate compliance program. HR Compliance Management: Confirms adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO and labor laws to Director of Human Resources & Compliance. Completes reporting requirements (e.g., EEO-1, OSHA 300). Validates data and performs impact assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommends corrective actions or process improvements. Develops and implements HR compliance policies and procedures. Stays abreast on changes in employment laws and regulations and assessing their impact on the organization. Provides guidance on HR policies and procedures to the Human Resources and Compliance teams and supports the annual review process. HR Operations Support: Supports HR's business continuity plan and corporate audits. Manages the administration and review of HR policies. Conducts routine audits of benefit plan eligibility and enrollment and requisite compliance with governing plan documents and applicable laws. Assists in the preparation and management of required filings, such as, 5500s, SARs, PCORI, 1095Cs, and non-discrimination testing. Maintains and updates plan documents, SPDs, SARs, and employee communication materials to ensure compliance. Data Analysis and Reporting: Validates and analyzes HR data to identify trends, forecast needs, and measure the effectiveness of HR programs. Conducts benchmarking exercises, where appropriate. Develops reports and dashboards to present HR compliance data and People Analytics to management. Supports the development of presentations and training materials on HR compliance topics. Corporate Compliance Program Support: Assessing Compliance: Examines business practices and policies to identify potential compliance issues. Developing and Implementing Programs: Creates and implements compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Conducting Audits: Performs internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance efforts. Providing Guidance: Offers advice and training to employees on compliance requirements and best practices. Monitoring and Reporting: Tracks compliance issues, reporting on findings, and escalating potential problems. Staying Updated: Keeps abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards. Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates compliance risks. Documentation: Maintains accurate records of compliance activities and documentation. Bachelor’s degree in psychology or other behavioral science, business, or human resource management, required. Minimum 5 years of related experience, required. Alternative to Minimum: 10 years of related experience. Knowledge: Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Knowledge of computers and human resources software applications. Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA and other employee benefit related laws. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and Outlook) with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formula building), required. Skills Proven analytical skills and attention to detail with large datasets. Skill in presenting to stakeholder groups. Skill in problem solving. Strong attention to detail, including but not limited to composition of materials, reporting, and project management. Strong interpersonal/customer service skills. Strong writing skills. Abilities Ability to establish/maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels. Ability to project positive and professional image. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner. Strong ability to change and adapt in a high-paced environment. This position is open to residents of the State of Indiana, and requires routine presence at our Center in Indianapolis, IN. Frequency of on-site presence is dependent upon role and department needs.
