The journal is dedicated to advancing innovation, technology, and evidence-based practices in surgery and interventional medicine. Position Summary The Editor-in-Chief (EIC) will provide strategic editorial leadership, oversee the peer-review process, and guide the development of ISIM as a global leader in surgical and interventional medicine publishing. Responsibilities • Shape the editorial vision, aims, and scope of the journal • Oversee peer review, publication ethics, and academic standards • Recruit and lead an international editorial board • Expand the journal’s visibility and impact worldwide • Mentor early-career authors and promote innovation in publishing Qualifications • MD, DO, PhD, with more than 10 years experience in related filed • Specialty training and professional experience in surgery or interventional medicine (e.g., Radiology, Cardiology, GI, pulmonary, etc.) • Strong record of peer-reviewed publications in the field • Prior editorial and peer-review experience • Proven leadership and team management skills • Commitment to advancing surgical and interventional innovation Term & Support • Part-time, flexible (remote-friendly) appointment • Initial 3-year term, renewable • Honorarium and administrative support including managing editor are provided.
