Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its geospatial solutions team as a Senior Cloud & Enterprise Modernization Strategies Consultant. You may be called upon to assist with the design, development, and maintenance of geospatial applications through the concept, design, and implementation phases. Your role will also include supporting other personnel in utilizing GIS applications and software as well as interfacing with clients and teaming partners. Salary Range: $50-$70 hourly Position Status: Part-Time (25% FTE) RESPONSIBILITIES • Serve as the Deputy Project Manager supporting innovation and modernization initiatives across enterprise IT programs. • Lead or assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of enterprise technology tools and solutions that support IT service management, automation, and modernization goals. • Oversee technical project planning, risk management, scheduling, and deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. • Utilize emerging AWS technologies to enhance enterprise infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost optimization. • Evaluate and implement Technology and Tool options for: • Enterprise IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) solutions • Enterprise ticketing systems • Enterprise modernization and automation tools • Leverage native AWS services to drive automation, cost savings, and operational efficiency at the enterprise level. • Oversee integration of Splunk’s Machine Learning suite for real-time application monitoring, predictive analytics, and performance optimization. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology adoption that support mission and program objectives. • Partner with senior leadership to ensure project milestones, KPIs, and deliverables meet contractual and technical standards. • Support compliance and reporting requirements, maintaining alignment with organizational governance and security frameworks. • Provide mentorship and guidance to project team members, fostering an environment of technical excellence and continuous improvement. • Act as liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • Master’s degree preferred. • 10+ years of progressive experience in technical project management supporting enterprise IT programs or modernization initiatives. • Demonstrated expertise in: • AWS technologies and native AWS services for enterprise automation and cost optimization. • Enterprise IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) solution evaluation and selection. • Enterprise ticketing system technology evaluation, implementation, and integration. • Splunk Machine Learning tools for active monitoring and analytics. • Enterprise modernization and infrastructure automation tools. • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or PMP frameworks). • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interface effectively with both technical and executive audiences. • Preferred customer experience: • Department of the Interior (DOI) or Office of Wildland Fire (OWF). PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification. • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. • ITIL or equivalent IT Service Management certification. • Splunk Core Certified Power User or higher.
