Job Title: Structured Cable Data Center Design Engineer Company Overview: Innova Solutions is a leading technology services provider specializing in innovative infrastructure solutions for data centers and enterprise networks. Role Overview: As a Structured Cable Data Center Design Engineer at Innova, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing structured cabling solutions that support high-performance data center operations. This position requires a detail-oriented engineer who can work remotely within EST or CST time zones and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. What You'll Do: - You will design structured cabling systems tailored to data center requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards. - You will develop detailed engineering drawings and documentation for cable pathways and connectivity. - You will collaborate with project managers, vendors, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution. - You will conduct site assessments and provide technical recommendations for cable infrastructure improvements. - You will troubleshoot design challenges and propose innovative solutions to optimize network performance. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data center cabling design. - You will support the integration of new systems and upgrades within existing data center environments. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in structured cabling design, preferably within data center environments. - Proficiency with CAD software and other design tools relevant to cable infrastructure. - Strong understanding of industry standards such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, and ANSI. - Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with RDCC (Remote Data Center Connectivity) engineering. - Familiarity with fiber optic and copper cabling technologies. - Certifications such as BICSI RCDD or equivalent. - Knowledge of network infrastructure and data center operations.
