Role Overview: As a Structured Cable Data Center Design Engineer at Innova, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing structured cabling systems for data centers. This position focuses on delivering high-quality, scalable, and efficient cabling solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards. What You'll Do: - You will design structured cabling systems tailored for data center environments. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and integration. - You will develop detailed documentation and schematics for cabling infrastructure. - You will conduct site assessments and provide technical recommendations. - You will ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. - You will support project management teams with timelines and resource planning. - You will troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during implementation. - You will stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years experience in structured cabling design for data centers. - Proficiency with CAD software and design tools. - Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and network requirements. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently in a remote setting within EST or CST time zones. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with RDCC (Remote Data Center Connectivity) engineering. - Certifications such as BICSI or equivalent. - Familiarity with Mid-Atlantic region data center standards. - Previous contract-to-hire or remote work experience.
