Director of Mass Excavation & Grading We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Mass Excavation & Grading to lead and oversee large-scale earthwork and grading operations. This is a senior-level leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, operational oversight, and the ability to lead teams on complex, high-value projects. Key Responsibilities: • Provide strategic leadership and direction for mass excavation and grading projects across multiple sites. • Manage project planning, scheduling, budgets, and execution to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time delivery. • Oversee field operations, equipment utilization, and production rates to maximize efficiency and profitability. • Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and crews, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and deliver high-quality work. • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. Qualifications: • 10+ years of progressive experience in excavation, grading, or heavy civil construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity. • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale earthwork and grading projects. • Strong technical knowledge of excavation methods, equipment, and site development practices. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational oversight.
