Full Description

This is a remote position. Infoverity is seeking a skilled and motivated Principal Consultant, Data Governance to lead high impact client engagements and drive the successful delivery of enterprise data governance programs. In this role, you will guide clients through the design, implementation, and adoption of modern governance frameworks and technologies, particularly Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC), you’ll help clients strengthen their data ecosystems to support digital transformation and AI initiatives. You will work directly with business and technical stakeholders to strengthen data transparency, trust, and compliance while helping organizations maximize the value of their data assets. This position offers the opportunity to shape client strategy, influence governance maturity, and serve as a trusted advisor across diverse industries. What You’ll Do Consulting & Client Engagement Act as a trusted advisor by evaluating client challenges, identifying governance opportunities, and developing strategic recommendations. Communicate complex governance concepts in actionable terms for both technical and non-technical audiences. Lead workshops, assessments, and roadmap sessions, deliver governance strategies, operating models, and implement blueprints that support enterprise modernization and readiness for AI workflows. Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including assessments, frameworks, playbooks, and standard operating procedures. Provide thought leadership in governance trends, tool enhancements, and emerging practices to enable scalable, AI-ready data ecosystems. Strengthening client relationships through proactive communication and value-driven engagement. Advocate for the adoption of advanced governance tools such as Informatica CDGC, Collibra, and Alation. Provide ongoing guidance for governance roadmaps, aligning data governance with strategic priorities such as AI and digital transformation goals. Technical Implementation Oversee comprehensive delivery of data governance initiatives, encompassing tool implementation, data quality programs, metadata management, and development of governance operating models. Architect scalable solutions that seamlessly incorporate governance practices within enterprise data workflows and cloud infrastructure. Lead the deployment and configuration of CDGC to support client-specific governance strategies, fostering a data foundation aligned with compliance and AI-optimized processes. Facilitate metadata ingestion, lineage tracking, and cataloging across platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, SQL Server, AWS, and Azure to ensure data heritage and accessibility for analytics and AI. Develop and sustain business glossaries, workflow frameworks, and stewardship protocols. Configure and deploy components of CDP, CDGC, and CDQ, including profiling functionalities, data quality rules, and dashboards that monitor data integrity. Define and implement custom lineage solutions using advanced tools such as Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI) to support precise data tracking and impact analysis for AI models and analytics. Integrate CDGC with clients’ existing governance, analytics, and data quality processes to ensure cohesive operations. Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Establish robust performance indicators and tracking metrics to evaluate governance maturity, data health, and program success, aligning governance outcomes with transformation objectives such as AI readiness. Guide post-implementation evaluations, identifying improvements to governance strategies and ensuring continuous refinement of frameworks, processes, and platforms. Advocate for and nurture a data-first mindset within client teams, educating stakeholders on the critical role governance plays in driving modern automation, analytics, and AI initiatives. Share best practices and emerging trends to maintain governance programs relevant to the rapidly evolving data and AI landscapes. Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. 4–7 years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or catalog implementation, including at least one year delivering projects. Handson experience with CDGC, Informatica Axon/EDC, or comparable governance tools. Experience integrating governance tools with cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong understanding of governance frameworks such as DAMADMBOK or DCAM. Experience with metadata ingestion, APIs, profiling tools, and stewardship workflows. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel. Preferred Qualifications Experience with advanced lineage solutions or managing enterprise governance tools. Familiarity with the Informatica IDMC ecosystem. Basic SQL or scripting for metadata ingestion or analysis. Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or insurance.
