Job Title: Medical Lab Technologist Job Type: Contract Shift: 5x8 Day shift. Pay Rate: $30/hr-$35/hr Location: Detroit, MI 48202 Duration: 13 weeks with possibility of extension Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in performing laboratory tests and analyses that assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. This position requires a strong background in laboratory procedures and an understanding of clinical practices. The Medical Technologist will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results. Duties • Conduct a variety of laboratory tests, including but not limited to blood analysis, DNA isolation, and ELISA assays. • Handle blood bank procedures and testing • Use WellSky system for lab data management (preferred) • Ensure accurate specimen collection, processing, and analysis • Maintain lab equipment and troubleshoot issues • Collaborate with clinical teams to interpret data and provide insights for patient care. • Monitor laboratory equipment for functionality and perform routine maintenance as needed. • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. • Participate in clinical trials as required, contributing to research initiatives. • Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and techniques. Requirements • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Medical Lab Technology or related field. • ASCP • BLS Job Type: Contract Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Experience: • MLT: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
