Below is the job description for the position: Position Title: IT Project Manager Location: Detroit, MI (Fully Onsite) Duration: 6+ Months (Contract-to-Hire) Job ID: 26-G-2 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate technology initiatives from planning through successful implementation. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management experience, technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver high-quality IT solutions on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities • Develop comprehensive project plans, define project scope, establish timelines, and manage project budgets for technology initiatives. • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues. • Serve as the primary point of contact between project teams, stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership. • Ensure compliance with organizational technical standards, document exceptions, obtain required approvals, and monitor adherence throughout the project lifecycle. • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, risk logs, and performance metrics. • Facilitate user training and provide implementation support for new systems and applications. • Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills • Strong understanding of IT concepts, including: • Software Development • Web Technologies • Cloud Computing • IT Infrastructure • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management abilities. Requirements • Minimum five (5) years of Project Management experience, including at least two (2) years managing technology initiatives. • Proficiency in administering Microsoft Teams, including channel creation, file management, permissions, and collaboration features. Preferred Qualifications • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. • Proven experience successfully delivering large-scale or complex IT projects. • Experience with project management tools such as: • Microsoft Project • Jira • Smartsheet • Experience working within enterprise IT environments. • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies.
