Job Title           :            Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer  (Hybrid)    Duration          :             Long-term contract    Location          :              Mechanicsville, VA  Interview         :              In-person Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, governance, and operational management of a large-scale Microsoft Azure environment. This role requires deep Azure expertise, strong infrastructure and security knowledge, and experience leading enterprise cloud initiatives. Key Responsibilities * Design, implement, and manage enterprise Azure infrastructure and cloud services. * Configure Azure networking, security, governance, and compliance policies. * Lead cloud migration projects from on-premises to Azure. * Manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity solutions. * Monitor and optimize Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Workbooks, and Alerts. * Perform infrastructure troubleshooting and production support. * Drive vulnerability remediation and security improvements. * Collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams. * Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership. Required Skills * 10+ years of enterprise Microsoft Azure infrastructure experience. * 7+ years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred; ARM/Bicep acceptable). * 10+ years implementing Azure networking, security, governance, and monitoring. * 10+ years planning and executing on-premises to Azure cloud migrations. * 10+ years managing enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions. * Experience with Azure Monitor, observability, dashboards, and alerting. * Experience with vulnerability remediation and security best practices. * Strong networking knowledge (OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls). Preferred Qualifications * Microsoft Azure certifications (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert). * Networking certifications (CCNA, Network+, or equivalent).
