The CDI Specialist will partner with the software development team to advise on the development of a CDI platform and contribute to performance metrics tracking tools. Requirements

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and preferably a Master's degree in Health Information Management, along with CDIP or CCDS certification. A minimum of 2 years of CDI, clinical, or coding experience in an acute care setting is required.

Location: Remote with expected work hours to be a set schedule between 7am - 7pm Central Daily Responsibilities: Partner with software development team as a strategic advisor in the development of a CDI platform Key contributor to the development of CDI performance metrics tracking tools Review inpatient and/or outpatient medical records to ensure accurate and complete documentation of diagnoses, treatments, and procedures Collaborate with client physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to clarify documentation for coding accuracy and specificity Identify opportunities for improvement in documentation that impact DRG assignment, severity of illness (SOI), risk of mortality (ROM), quality metrics, and case mix index (CMI) Partner with coding teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with coding and regulatory guidelines Educate providers on documentation best practices and evolving regulatory requirements Track, analyze, and report CDI performance metrics to leadership Skills and Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) Master's degree in Health Information Management preferred CDIP or CCDS certification 2+ years of CDI, clinical, or coding experience in an acute care setting Experience with Epic systems preferred High knowledge and experience with various CDI software tools Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRG methodology, and coding compliance standards Knowledge of CMS, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards impacting documentation and reimbursement preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders CDI Solution owner or contributor to CDI software development preferred CDI Program development preferred Company Benefits and Perks: Joining Infinx comes with an array of benefits, flexible work hours when possible, and a genuine sense of belonging to a dynamic and growing organization.
