Job Title: AD SME (Active Directory Subject Matter Expert) Location: Remote Job Type: Contract Experience: 7+ years Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Subject Matter Expert to manage, support, and enhance enterprise identity services across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, IAM, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell automation within large enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities • Administer and support Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and hybrid identity environments • Manage users, groups, organizational units, Group Policies (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and domain controllers • Troubleshoot complex authentication, access, and directory service issues • Implement and maintain identity security, compliance, MFA, SSO, and Conditional Access policies • Support AD migrations, upgrades, Azure AD Connect, and cloud integration initiatives • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and improve operational processes • Monitor AD health, performance, replication, and overall service availability • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless identity management Required Skills • Microsoft Active Directory (AD) • Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID • Hybrid Identity & Azure AD Connect • Group Policy (GPO) • DNS & DHCP • PowerShell Scripting • Identity & Access Management (IAM) • MFA, SSO, Conditional Access • Windows Server Administration • Security & Compliance Best Practices Preferred Skills • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. AZ-800, AZ-801, SC-300) • Experience in Pharma or regulated industry environments Location & Work Model Fully Remote Engagement Details Contract engagement. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field required. 7+ years of experience in Active Directory and Identity Management in large enterprise hybrid cloud environments.
