The opening requires Observability Lead / Dynatrace SME to the above skills. It is 100% Remote. Title: Observability Lead / Dynatrace SME Location: 100% Remote Type: Contract (c2c or w2) Job description: We are seeking an experienced Observability Lead / Dynatrace SME to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise monitoring solutions. This role will focus on Dynatrace as the primary APM platform, while leveraging other observability tools to ensure end-to-end visibility across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage observability initiatives across multiple teams and environments. • Design and implement monitoring strategies using Dynatrace SaaS/Managed. • Configure dashboards, alerts, and custom metrics for critical applications and services. • Integrate Dynatrace with AWS (EC2, ALB, WAF, Route 53), Azure, and containerized platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift). • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to fine-tune alert thresholds and reduce false positives. • Implement and manage other observability tools such as Prometheus/Grafana for metrics visualization, ELK/Elastic Stack or Splunk for log analytics, and AppDynamics/New Relic for additional APM capabilities. • Drive automation for monitoring setup and reporting using scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.). • Provide leadership, training, and best practices for observability across the organization. Required Skills • Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace SaaS/Managed. • Expertise in APM concepts, distributed tracing, and synthetic monitoring. • Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, and other observability tools. • Experience with AWS/Azure monitoring integrations. • Proficiency in scripting for automation. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift monitoring. • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration with observability tools. • ITIL process familiarity for incident and problem management.
