Perform laboratory tests on blood and body fluids, including phlebotomy, under supervision.
Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, certification from a recognized agency, BLS certification, and 6 months to 1 year experience preferred.
Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Assignment Length: 13 weeks with possible extension Location: Detroit, MI Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday (Potential Flex hours 9:-5 or 9:30 - 6:00) Pay Rate: $42/hour • *This role is for new grads or for candidates with 6 months-1 year experience. ** Job Summary: Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. May perform phlebotomy as needed. A fair amount of testing is prenatal testing. Technology: Epic, Sunquest CoPathPlush (LIS) Experience: • New grads are accepted • Candidates with 6 months-1 year experience preferred • Prior experience in clinical labs, handling specimens and comfortable in PPE. Job Requirements: • Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science. • Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA). • BLS certification required Who We Are?
