Position Summary Lead with insight. Build with purpose. Grow with us. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Income Tax Manager to join our corporate tax function. As part of a growing manufacturing company, you’ll have the opportunity to roll up your sleeves, collaborate across departments, and make a real impact on our operations and bottom line. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic thinking. This newly established role reports directly to the Tax Director. --- What You’ll Do Manage the Income Tax Provision Process: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740, including preparation and review of supporting workpapers for financial reporting and SEC filings. Ensure Timely Compliance: Manage federal, state, and international income tax filings—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business operations. Monitor Tax Legislation: Stay informed on tax law and rate changes impacting manufacturing operations, and communicate updates to leadership proactively. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Accounting, FP&A, and Operations to develop effective tax strategies that support company growth and profitability. Support Audits: Prepare and manage documentation for IRS and state audits, ensuring transparency and readiness. Provide Strategic Insight: Analyze the tax impact of business initiatives, including capital investments, expansions, and supply chain decisions. Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the tax function to enhance efficiency and scalability. Be a Trusted Partner: Build strong relationships across the organization to promote collaboration, understanding, and strategic alignment. --- What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MST preferred. 5+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, ideally within a public manufacturing or public accounting firm. Solid understanding of ASC 740, corporate income tax, and state compliance. Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders. A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Additional Details Location: Remote. Note: CA residents are not eligible at this time.
