Manage and support multiple fleet electrification projects including application review, client and utility engagement, and progress tracking.
Bachelor's degree with strong project management skills, experience or training in transportation or engineering preferred, and ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
Fleet Operations Managers with Electric Vehicles Pay Rate: $35-45/hr Initiative: Truck Electrification, School Bus Electrification Where the work will be performed: Remote Location of Resource: Remote, possibility to work in NYC/Albany office for team meetings Is travel required for this position: Less than 5% Expected Duration of Engagement (Years): 3 Years What skills are needed to be successful in this role? • Strong project management skills to be able to oversee many projects at the same time • Ability to competently and confidently interact with outside stakeholders • Including trucking fleets, school districts and school bus operators, consultants, and utilities • Strong IT system fluency or ability to learn systems quickly • Ability to stay organized and follow or set processes for managing many projects is essential. Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful? • Experience with clean transportation, electric vehicles, and EV infrastructure is strongly preferred • Training or experience in transportation and/or civil/mechanical/electrical engineering strongly preferred • Experience with utility engagement, vehicle fleet operations, and/or school district operations would be helpful but is not required Certifications and qualifications, including education/degree • Education and experience commensurate with a Bachelor's degree • Background, including formal training in transportation, civil/mechanical/electrical engineering, or similar field strongly preferred IT systems that will be used • Salesforce, NEIS, Microsoft Office Tasks • Support the technical assistance intake and application process for truck and school bus fleet operators • Review and approve applications including scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for technical assistance • Support and manage all aspects of technical assistance projects including technical review (specifically on validity of route analysis, charging plan development, and site planning), client engagement, and progress/budget tracking • Engage with utilities to coordinate on Fleet Electrification Plans (FEPs) • Support broad engagement with trucking fleets and school districts, and school bus contractors to inform them about programs • Track, document, and report on projects as needed • Other duties as assigned that contribute toward the key outcomes of the Clean Transportation team
