Join Our Mission The Indianapolis Public Schools Foundation partners with school district leaders and philanthropists to secure private investments in transformative strategies that help every student thrive in the classroom and beyond. As our Director of Growth, you'll serve as a strategic partner to our Chief Growth Officer in developing comprehensive fundraising strategies while leading corporate partnerships and foundation relations that directly translate into enhanced learning opportunities and expanded programs for over 30,000 IPS students. Key Responsibilities Fundraising & Revenue Generation (Primary Focus) • Execute revenue targets in partnership with the Chief Growth Officer through strategic corporate partnerships and foundation grants, with supplemental individual donor cultivation • This role is responsible for raising $1-2M annually, based on experience and market conditions • Create compelling and customized proposals and presentations that demonstrate measurable student impact and return on corporate and foundation investment • Build sustainable corporate partnerships across multiple engagement levels, from program-specific support to multi-year strategic partnerships • Manage and grow a portfolio to maximize funding opportunities and maintain strong ongoing partnerships • Utilize a donor management system (Salesforce) to track and manage donor prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship Strategic Partnership Development & Engagement • Cultivate high-impact relationships with corporate leaders and foundation program officers who share our commitment to public education excellence • Align partnership opportunities with IPS district strategic priorities, ensuring funding directly supports student achievement and educator success • Facilitate cross-sector collaboration between district leadership, corporate partners, foundation stakeholders, non-profit, and community partners to create innovative educational solutions • Lead donor cultivation activities that strengthen community investment in public education Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, education, communications, or related field • 3-5 years of proven relationship building and fundraising success with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue goals, preferably with corporate partnership development and foundation relations experience • Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling written proposals and deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences • Project management expertise with experience managing multiple fundraising efforts and partnership initiatives simultaneously • Familiarity with Indianapolis' business and philanthropic landscape, or demonstrated ability to quickly build community connections • Familiarity with K-12 education foundation or education-focused nonprofits Essential Qualities • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify new revenue opportunities and innovative partnership models • Commitment to team excellence demonstrated by upholding established team operating agreement and fostering a collaborative, mission-focused work environment • Community-centered approach with commitment to educational access and opportunity for all students, and the ability to build authentic relationships across Indianapolis' diverse community and stakeholder groups • Agility and strategic flexibility to pivot approaches as district priorities evolve, embracing our culture of continuous innovation while staying anchored to our core mission • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving educational environment • Collaborative leadership style that fosters trust and facilitates multi-stakeholder success Compensation, Benefits, and Work Environment • Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($80,000 - $90,000) • Health, dental, and vision insurance with employer contribution • Retirement savings plan with employer contribution • Comprehensive time off, including PTO and paid holidays • Hybrid work environment (in office on Tuesday and Thursday) with occasional evening and weekend events Ready to Make a Difference?
