Overview of the role: The Sales Director (Oil & Gas Industry Background) position focuses on sourcing, nurturing, and closing new clients primarily from your network and industry. This hunter role emphasizes building strong relationships with midsize to enterprise-level clients, with primary focus on Energy sectors including Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Utilities. Key responsibilities: - Hunting: - Building strong, long-lasting relationships with midsize to enterprise-level clients, with a remit across industries and a primary focus on Energy (Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Utilities) industries. - Originating and nurturing business relationships resulting in engagement opportunities. - Presenting unique value propositions tailored to the needs of potential clients' senior executives. - Developing strong, long-lasting relationships with potential clients. - Project Management: - Scoping projects, shaping engagements, and helping define business solutions that satisfy client needs and achieve desired business outcomes. - Planning, implementing, and managing lead generation, sales activities, and pipelines to meet annual revenue targets and business goals. - Planning resources, organizing and mobilizing teams (including solution design, UX, technical, engagement management, staffing, and delivery teams) throughout complex sales cycles. - Understanding and assisting in managing and mitigating key risks through tactical plans and actions. Requirements: - Industry Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or related industrial sectors with exposure to technology solutions and digital transformation initiatives. - Business Development: Strong experience in business development, relationship management, or technical sales within the energy sector. - Sales Success: Proven success in sourcing, nurturing, and closing midsize and Enterprise accounts within energy markets. - Industry Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the Oil & Gas industry, including key players, strategies, client structure, business models, sub-verticals, needs, challenges, and key trends. - Strategic Approach: Demonstrated strategic, creative, and analytical approach with a focus on initiating and building client relationships. - Technical Understanding: Strong understanding of operational systems, data management, and technological challenges commonly faced in the Oil & Gas industry. - Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver compelling presentations tailored to potential clients' needs. - Work Style: Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. - Organization: Detail-oriented and deadline-driven. - Language Skills: Native English or fully bilingual (English).
