To recruit for an Operations & Technical Manager - Lifting Equipment Specialist (Houston USA) on a permanent basis. LOCATION: Houston, Texas SALARY: Competitive (Depending on Experience) HOURS: General office hours (Mon -Fri) JOB OVERVIEW: The Operations & Technical Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing the day to day customer demand, along with delivery of commercial projects critical to business operations. The role holder will require a thorough understanding of lifting and rigging industry covering aspects such as product development, product assembly processes, and supply chain operations. Working closely with the global team, the role will oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring all objectives align with company’s strategic goals whilst meeting consistently high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Collectively serve as a key point of contact between the company and the Market customer base, maintaining communication and coordination across the group operations, technical and commercial community. • Work closely with your in-country peer group, whilst simultaneously engaging with key group management members, clients, partners, and distribution channels to achieve key objectives, technical requirements, timelines, and budgets. • Collaborate with the group supply chain team, develop, manage, and maintain working rhythms to ensure excellent customer experience. • align strategically with the group team, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of team members’ technical expertise, particularly within lifting and rigging division ensuring the highest safety standards, and quality control are maintained. • Continuously monitor and evaluate subsidiary performance, proactively identifying potential supply chain risks, manufacturing bottlenecks, or quality control issues, and implementing timely corrective actions to adhere to stringent industry standards. • Prepare detailed, accurate, status reports, effectively communicating progress and challenges to the group leadership team whilst maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders. • Foster effective collaboration and communication between partner company and internal • Demonstrate strong leadership whilst promoting the Groups’ values and culture project teams. REQUIREMENTS: • Proven experience managing timebound workloads within the lifting and rigging or related industrial manufacturing sectors, paired with a robust understanding of engineering, design, application, training, inventory management, process optimisation, and supply chain logistics. • Solid experience and adoption of project management tools relevant to the role, including Inventory Management, ERP systems, CAD, Prince 2, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and other industry-specific software. • Ideally experience with RFID Technology, Tensile Testing Machines (Universal Testing Machines – UTM), Hardness Testers, and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) • Advanced knowledge of Industry regulations and standards (ISO, ASTM, ANSI, etc.) • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities, specifically in diagnosing technical and operational challenges unique to the lifting and rigging industry. • Excellent communication skills, essential for effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Demonstrated resilience, decisiveness, and adaptability under pressure, particularly in managing complex operational requirements.
