POSITION DESCRIPTION DEPARTMENT: Commercial / Sales & Marketing JOB TITLE: Head of International Business REPORTS TO: VP of Sales & Marketing PURPOSE: This role is responsible for leading and accelerating ImmuCell’s international growth strategy. The International Business Development Leader will identify, prioritize, and develop global market opportunities by aligning regulatory feasibility, market size, and commercial execution. This role will work cross-functionally to successfully launch and scale ImmuCell’s product portfolio outside the United States. PRODUCTS: First Defense® Product Line: USDA-licensed biologics and functional feed ingredients for the prevention of neonatal calf scours, providing one-of-a-kind immediate immunity through hyperimmunized colostral antibodies. RESPONSIBILITIES: The following key responsibilities, although not necessarily an exhaustive list, is intended to represent an accurate reflection of the role. International Strategy & Market Development • Develop and execute a phased expansion strategy aligned with regulatory feasibility, market size, and revenue potential. • Identify and prioritize target countries and regions for product introduction and portfolio expansion. • Build business cases for new market entry, including revenue potential, investment requirements, and timelines. Regulatory & Market Access Collaboration • Collaborate closely with internal and outsourced regulatory teams to define realistic registration pathways and timelines. • Ensuring commercial strategy is aligned with regulatory constraints and approval sequencing. Distribution & Partner Development • Identify, evaluate, and secure in-country distribution partners with strong technical and commercial capabilities. • Lead distributor negotiations, contract discussions, and long-term partnership development. • Support launch planning and training. Commercial Execution & Support • Support post-launch growth through ongoing commercial guidance to drive adoption. • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, timelines, and revenue outlook. Professional Development & Other responsibilities • Stay current on global animal health trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics. • Represent ImmuCell at international conferences, trade shows, and industry meetings. • Participate in strategic planning discussions related to portfolio development, licensing, or partnership opportunities. • Perform other duties as required to support ImmuCell’s international growth objectives. Travel • This is a global role with responsibility across multiple international regions. Travel is expected to be approximately 90%, including international travel. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, DVM, MSc) a plus. • 20+ years of experience in international business development, animal health, or related commercial roles. • Demonstrated success working with international distributors and navigating regulatory-driven markets. • Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and communication skills. COMPENSATION: ImmuCell will offer a competitive compensation package, including base salary, variable incentive compensation, travel and expense support, and a comprehensive benefits program, including 401(k) and equity participation.
