About Us: Immanuel Lutheran School, Macomb, MI is a Christ-centered Lutheran school dedicated to providing academic excellence while nurturing faith and character in our students. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Teacher to join our team and inspire young minds in their educational and spiritual journey. Position Overview: The 5th Grade Teacher will be responsible for teaching Math, Social Studies, and Religion while fostering a positive, faith-based learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to integrating Christian values into their teaching and guiding students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with school curriculum and academic standards. • Teach Math, Social Studies, and Religion, incorporating a faith-based perspective. • Create a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth. • Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning. • Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback and support. • Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and parents to support student success. • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. • Serve as a role model of Christian faith and values for students and the school community. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required). • Teaching certificate (required) • Lutheran Teacher Diploma (LTD) or willingness to uphold Lutheran doctrine in teaching. • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for working with middle school students. • Ability to integrate faith into daily instruction and classroom activities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
