Requires 2 years experience working with intellectual/developmental disabilities, 2 years supervisory experience, proficiency with virtual platforms, and preferably a Bachelor's degree.
Purpose of Position: The Virtual Services Program Manager provides strategic oversight, leadership, and day-to-day management of Imagine!'s virtual programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position ensures the development and delivery of high-quality virtual services, manages and supports instructional staff, drives program innovation, and maintains compliance with regulatory standards. The Program Manager works closely with the individuals in services, their interdisciplinary teams, and the Assistant Director to align services with person-centered goals, integrate assistive technologies, and support participant growth, engagement, and independence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of virtual services that promote personal development, social connection, and goal achievement. • Develops and oversees a biannual course catalog, including class descriptions, scheduling, registration, and registration confirmation communication. • Stays informed of current trends and emerging technologies in virtual learning and assistive supports for individuals with disabilities. • Incorporates best practices in therapeutic recreation, behavioral supports, and universal design for learning in all virtual offerings. • Explores and recommends new virtual service models and platforms that expand access, promote equity, encourage skill acquisition, and grow entrepreneurship. Recruits, trains, supervises, and supports virtual services staff. • Provides coaching and performance feedback, addresses performance concerns in alignment with organizational policies. • Reviews lesson plans and class development for quality and alignment with support goals. • Fosters a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture. Ensures compliance with all applicable State and Federal guidelines, regulations and timelines, including Imagine! Policies and Procedures. • Monitors participant data and staff documentation for accuracy and timeliness, including service notes, attendance, and incident reports. • Supports the creation and implementation of Person-Centered Support Plans for each participant. • Tracks and analyzes service outcomes, attendance trends, and participant satisfaction to inform improvements. Promotes Virtual Services internally and externally through various media and community partnerships. • Partners with Public Relations and Community Services leadership to represent Virtual Services at community events, meetings, and outreach opportunities. • Maintains strong, professional relationships with families, guardians, and stakeholders. Ensures accessibility and technology integration within virtual classes. • Troubleshoots virtual platform challenges and assist in managing device use, platform updates, and digital resource curation. • Contributes to the testing and use of emerging technologies (e.g., tablets, adaptive software, interactive platforms) that increase independence and access for participants. Facilitates classes in assigned courseload and substitutes in additional classes when needed. • Engages participants in meaningful learning opportunities. • Responds appropriately to participants' challenging behaviors. • Monitors the effectiveness of the classes and seeks continuous improvement. • Consistently practices effective training. Other Duties and Responsibilities • Actively participates in Imagine! meetings, training, and strategic planning as requested. • Researches innovative instructional practices and assistive technologies. • Supports grant writing, reporting, and funding efforts that benefit virtual program sustainability and growth. • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership. Job Qualifications Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: • General knowledge of the developmental disabilities system in Colorado. • Demonstrated skill in working with adults with developmental disabilities in a virtual setting preferred • Competency analyzing quantitative data for billing, budgeting, and strategic planning and decision making. • The ability to clearly express ideas to the intended audience including persuading others to work toward a common goal. • Demonstrated leadership skills. • The ability to work through uncertainty and challenges. • Excellent project management, critical thinking, and organizational skills. • Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver. • The ability to think creatively in the absence of clearly defined structures. • Strong training skills. • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks for self and others. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. • Excellent ability to work with various technology including word processing software, internet-based databases, assistive technology, etc. • This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet. Training/Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Art, Computer Science highly preferred. Experience: • Two years' experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities required. • Two years' supervisory experience required. • Experience with providing virtual services required • Proficient in Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and internet-based learning platforms. Working Environment/Physical Activities • Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment. • Willingness and ability to respond to emergency situations as they arise. • This position is a combination of remote, office and community based. • Ability to sit at a computer and facilitate virtual instruction for extended periods This position is eligible for bonuses in addition to the base pay.
