About us Under the direction of the joint Trustees, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) – Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) Benefit Plans Office administers negotiated Pension and Welfare Plan benefits for West Coast active and retired longshore workers, their dependents and survivors. We offer a stable (not a start up) office environment with a 35 hour work week. Employer paid health and welfare benefits for employee and all eligible dependents. Union membership is required. We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented individual to join our San Francisco pension and welfare teams. The ideal candidate is seeking a clerical position within a well- established employee benefits administration office. Overview: • FULL TIME, IN PERSON (no hybrid or remote work) • Member service regarding pension and welfare benefits • Eligibility and benefit determination • Review and process incoming mail, forms and correspondence • Data entry in ISSI benefits administration software system • Preparing outgoing correspondence and business letters • Create files, scan documents • General administrative support to managers Responsibilities: • Minimum 12 months of office experience required • Two years of pension, accounting or welfare benefits experience preferred • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Ability to multi task and work independently in a busy office environment • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and people skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $48.19 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • AD&D insurance • Commuter assistance • Dental insurance • Disability insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid jury duty • Paid time off • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Have you included required cover letter with your resume?
