15+ years in commercial operations or sales compensation with 7+ years leadership, preferably in life sciences or related industries, strong data analysis skills, and global experience.
Description: • Develop and implement sales incentive compensation strategies that align with overall business objectives and drive desired sales behaviors • Design, develop, and implement sales incentive compensation plans, including salary structures, incentive plans, and other compensation programs • Collaborate with sales leadership, HR, finance, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, gain alignment, and ensure effective plan implementation • Oversee the performance management process related to incentive compensation, including setting sales targets, tracking performance, and calculating payouts • Utilize data analysis and modeling to assess the effectiveness of incentive compensation plans, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to sales compensation, working with legal and HR teams as needed • Lead a team of compensation professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their development • Oversee vendor relationships related to sales compensation administration, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget • Identify opportunities to enhance sales compensation design, administration, and operations, implementing solutions for improvement Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • MBA or equivalent experience preferred • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in commercial operations, sales compensation, commercial analytics, or related fields • Experience in the genomic sequencing, medical device, or life sciences industries strongly preferred • At least 7 years in people leadership roles, preferably in commercial organizations • Global experience to work across various regions, strongly preferred • Deep understanding of sales compensation principles, best practices, and industry trends • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to assess plan performance and inform decision-making • Strong ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively with various levels of the organization • Ability to connect compensation strategy to overall business objectives and drive desired outcomes • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to sales compensation design and administration • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely • Familiarity with CRM systems, compensation management software, and other relevant tools Benefits: • access to genomics sequencing • family planning • health/dental/vision • retirement benefits • paid time off
