Amaze, Inspire, Unite Job Summary: The Director, Corporate Sales is responsible for overseeing a sales team that focuses on selling new corporate clients at Comerica Park, Little Caesars Arena and other IS+E venues as needed. The corporate clients include suite lease holders, suites rental customers, and club members. In addition, the director is responsible for overall department goals, budget and staff development. Key Responsibilities / Skill Requirements: • Assist the Senior Director, Premium & Corporate Sales with managing the corporate sales staff. • Meet or exceed overall corporate sales goals. • Develop and maintain a strategic prospecting strategy to create new sales opportunities. • Prepare corporate department expense budget. • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis. • Responsible for providing daily direction, coordination, evaluation and motivation to meet sales goals of team. • Execute, track and adjust strategies to ensure annual revenue targets are met. • Serve as interface with ticket sales and sponsorship/ad sales to generate leads and maximize revenue potential. • Provide written weekly and monthly reports on sales activity and results to track individual/team performance, inventory and revenue. • Ensure client information is current and updated within the database. • Work with premium coordinator to create internally hosted events to promote awareness and generate revenue. • Attend industry related networking functions as necessary. • Responsible for establishing pricing schedule for new lease packages. • Manage all B2B campaigns through CRM tools and sales reports, tracking ROI and lead management. • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality, openness, diversity and a consistently safe work environment. • All other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management or related field. • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in sales. • Possess the highest integrity and ethical standards. • Assertive, competitive, passionate, goal orientated and a strong work ethic. • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop account strategies, and negotiate creative solutions. • Have a friendly, professional and confident telephone manner. • Excellent time management and organizational skills - must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, appointments and sales. • Self-starter with ability to multitask and maintain deadlines in a high-paced environment. • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, with an ability to think and react to situations confidently. • Ability to work long or unpredictable hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Must possess knowledge of all Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities: • Experience in the sports industry preferred. Working Conditions: • Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Exposure to high noise level. • Frequent visual/auditory attention. • Working in an arena environment with varying temperatures. • Lifting equipment that weighs up to 25 pounds.
