We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. Regional candidates will have access to our beautiful headquarters located on River Drive in Moline, IL. This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility. This role is also open to remote candidates in select states. Summary of Position: We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who is curious about processes and improvements, driven to learn and adapt, comfortable working with large data sets, and proactive in bringing forward potential solutions. In this role, you will read, interpret, and analyze financial statements, asset‑liability reports, allowance for credit loss, investment reports, and other financial documents. You will provide written and verbal insights on trends, opportunities, risks, and abnormalities in the data, along with recommended courses of action based on your analysis. As part of a functional team, you will collaborate with colleagues across departments to discuss results, guide processes, and support strategies that align with corporate goals and initiatives. You will also be responsible for reviewing and signing off on procedural documentation updates and testing to ensure accuracy and viability. Qualifications of successful candidate: 4-year College Degree in Finance and/or Accounting. 3-5 years of experience in a financial services industry segment, Credit Union experience preferred. At least 3 years of financial modeling experience. Budgeting and forecasting experience. Knowledge of various allocation methodologies and modeling documentation processes. Ability to understand model outputs and present meaningful results and recommendations to management. Ability to manage and maintain financial models for risk management strategies. Experience with loan analytics, including delinquency, forecasting, cash flow, profitability, and scenario analysis. Ability to adjust to changing priorities as needed. Ability to mentor less experienced team members. Proficient in Excel, Word, and other financial analytic tools; Power BI experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and reports, uncover patterns and trends, and provide insights and recommendations to assist management in making informed financial decisions. Reporting: Update monthly financial data management applications, publish management reports, and prepare various quarterly reports and submission files. Preparation of audit level reporting while working interdepartmentally to ensure finance results reconcile to accounting results - resolving differences as necessary. Performance Enhancement: Assist the department in implementing projects to enhance performance, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform budget/variance analysis, develop peer analysis (using Callahan, S&P, or other similar tools), prepare and develop ALCO reporting, charge off and delinquency reporting, run department models from start to finish (Profitstars, Abrigo, Darling 360), assist in the development of model enhancements, assumptions, and adjustments, review of call report schedules prepared by department, and other tasks as assigned.
