Weighing, mixing, monitoring, and recording chemical batch production in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or GED, ability to lift 55 lbs., basic math skills, willingness to work in hot/dusty environments, and reliable transportation.
SUMMARY: Compounds, mixes and blends chemical batches by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Weighs quantities of materials for use in the manufacturing processes. • Places loose or packaged material on scales and adds or removes portions of material to obtain specified weight. • Reads work order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh and procedure to be followed for manufacturing process. • Records weight of materials used for production records, and maintains perpetual inventory of materials used and on hand by recording and marking drums. • Dumps materials in prescribed sequence into vat, hopper or mixing pot. • Monitor and log time and temperature as specified on Batch ticket. • Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor. • Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas. • Records information such as weight, type of product, date and batch number of products produced. • Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of manufacturing process. • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additional requirements for the position also include but are not limited to: • Follow all safety guidelines and processes • Speak , read and write English effectively • Learn to use and operate scan guns to report and control inventories • Able to lift 55 lbs. bags in a constant rhythm • Physically able to work 8 hrs. shift (3 shifts – must be open to working any shift) • Possess minimum math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) • Being able to work in a hot and dusty environment (safety PPE provided) • Have reliable transportation • Lean and practice Lean Manufacturing Techniques • Complete required safety training • Dependable • Must wear required safety PPE • Drive to succeed and grow within the organization • Be willing and able to learn to operate forklift safely. • Standing, walking production area, lifting, bending, climbing stairs, required for duration of shift. • HS Diploma or equivalent GED Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • Garland, TX 75041 (Required) Work Location: In person
