About Us We’re a growing 3PL (third-party logistics) company dedicated to excellent service and innovative solutions. We’re hiring a Receiving Area Manager to own all inbound operations—dock scheduling, unloading, QC/verification, system receiving, and putaway—so inventory is available for fulfillment fast and accurate. You’ll lead the receiving team, coordinate with carriers and customers, enforce vendor compliance, and drive continuous improvement on dock-to-stock time and first-pass accuracy. What You’ll Do • Own inbound flow end-to-end: appointment/dock scheduling, check-in, unloading, staging, count & condition verification, system receiving (ASN/PO), labeling, and putaway. • Hit the KPIs: achieve targets for dock-to-stock time, receiving throughput, first-pass accuracy, damage rate, and on-time appointments. • Lead the team: coach leads and associates; set daily goals; hold effective standups; enforce safety and quality; conduct performance check-ins. • Vendor & carrier coordination: confirm ASNs and packing lists, enforce packaging/labeling specs, capture lot/expiry/serials, and drive vendor compliance. • Putaway & slotting handoff: prioritize high-velocity SKUs, coordinate with Inventory for bin assignment and replenishment triggers, and reduce travel with smart staging. • Safety & equipment: uphold OSHA standards; manage PIT (forklift, reach, pallet jack) utilization. • Cross-functional communication: partner with Inventory Control, Outbound (DTC & Wholesale), Returns, AM/CX, and IT to keep orders flowing and customers informed. • Be flexible: support client launches, and seasonal peaks; join key customer/vendor calls as needed. What We’re Looking For • Experience: proven leadership in a high-volume 3PL or distribution receiving environment; hands-on dock operations required. • Operational mastery: dock scheduling, ASN/PO receiving, scanning, carton/pallet reconciliation, OS&D (over, short & damaged) handling, vendor compliance, and putaway best practices. • Leadership & teamwork: builds strong leads, develops people, and partners smoothly with Inventory, Returns, Outbound, IT, Account Management, and CX. • Customer focus: calm under pressure, proactive communicator, service-minded problem solver. • Safety & compliance: OSHA basics, PIT certification/experience, and a safety-first mindset. • Continuous improvement: data-driven approach to reducing dock-to-stock time, raising accuracy, and eliminating waste. • Communication: clear, professional written and verbal skills. • Language: bilingual Spanish/English required. • Physical: on your feet most of the shift; lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
