Title- Systems Analyst / Migration Engineer Location- Remote (But need from EST and CST). Job Type-FTE Role Summary: The Systems Analyst / Migration Engineer is responsible for executing operating system upgrades, server migrations, and platform transformations across Windows, Linux, and AIX environments. This role focuses on hands-on delivery of migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions to virtualized, cloud, container, and SaaS platforms. Key Responsibilities Perform OS upgrades, migrations, and replatforming across Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat), and AIX systems. Execute VMware Physical-to-Virtual (P2V) conversions and Lift & Shift migrations to Azure cloud. Support data transfer and migration to SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, and other enterprise applications. Contribute to containerization projects using Docker and Kubernetes as part of modernization initiatives. Automate build and migration tasks using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform. Conduct pre- and post-migration validation, including service testing, performance checks, and documentation. Collaborate with application, network, and security teams to ensure migration readiness and compliance. Provide operational support during cutovers and escalate complex issues to SMEs or Architects. Qualifications & Skills Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL), and IBM AIX system administration. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware virtualization, including P2V conversions. Familiarity with Azure cloud migrations (VM migration, storage, networking). Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell scripting for automation. Understanding of data migration and integration with SaaS platforms. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to execute within structured migration frameworks. Effective communicator with the ability to work in cross-functional project teams.
