Please note: This role is contingent upon a contract award. While it is not an immediate opening, we are actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the award. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support a federal government program by designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud migration, automation, and compliance within a FedRAMP or similar regulated environment. Job Location: Remote work is authorized. Must support US Eastern time zone working hours. *If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses and prohibits personal VPN connections. What You Will Do: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using AWS platforms. Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. Manage cloud environments to ensure high availability, performance, and cost optimization. Implement and monitor cloud security controls in compliance with federal standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53). Support cloud migration initiatives, including architecture assessments, data migration, and workload optimization. Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and application teams to ensure secure and efficient deployments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking, compute, and storage in the cloud environment. Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures. What You Will Bring With You: U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card is required due to federal contract requirements Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S. Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years. Candidate must currently have or be able to obtain a public trust clearance. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field. 8+ years of experience, leading 3+ enterprise migrations across ≥ 3 data sources, with financial reconciliation, metadata/lineage tooling, and privacy/records experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a MuleSoft Architect or in a similar integration-focused role. What We Would Like You To Bring With You: Master’s degree preferred. Hands-on experience with AWS. Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.). Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, or DoD Cloud). Professional Skills: Excellent communication and client facing skills and ability to negotiate & prioritize and successfully drive project objectives within schedule and budget. Highly effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all levels of the business. Organized, detailed oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
